Welcome to Millennial Houseplant!
Hi, I’m Crystal! I am an artist – consider myself to be a creative person (not just because my imposter syndrome would never tolerate calling myself an artist) as I love to write, paint, graphic design, and craft. I’m a middle-aged mom (according to at least one person on the internet) and if you couldn’t tell already by the title of this site or the overuse of parentheticals, I am a millennial. I made my first website in 1998 and haven’t really stopped since. When I’m not working a customary 40 hours to support my livelihood I am writing and publishing romance and romantasy on Amazon/Kindle Unlimited and using my social media to bring awareness to the social and political causes I care most deeply about. If you like what you see or read here then I thank you for your time!

Long story short I had used ChatGPT many years ago to rewrite certain blurbs, and I both knowingly and unknowingly licensed AI artwork and used…

the executive dysfunction is working
Am I burnt out? Is it my ADHD? Is it the autism? Is it perimenopause or just *glances around at ongoing world events that keep getting worse and more expensive* everything? I’ve not written in my journal in so long I’ve started feeling bad about it. I keep so many things inside that I might…

On Agoraphobia
Left the house today after I had a pep talk with myself, please clap. The anxiety about the thing is always bigger than the thing. I can therapize myself without a copay with my happy thoughts.

Let’s Redo The Honeymoon
Ever since I wrote The Honeymoon ten years ago I have struggled to make the perfect book cover to go along with the story. There have been a few varieties, and a few years ago after not being able to find what I wanted, I decided to use an AI image service to make my…
