Ravenlace Cover Reveal

EDIT (10pm 1/12/2025): I have to say of all the covers I’ve made for the Nightfallen series, I’ve never had as much strife as I have with this one. I wanted the cover to represent the themes present within this next episode, which predominantly include a new setting and a small world expansion, and of time passing. But when I looked at the cover with the other episode covers, I realized it didn’t keep within the story design of using more symbolic imagery than literal imagery. So after a couple hours searching around for new (non AI) stock artwork and examining the previous 9 covers, I have come up with this:

This is what the cover used to look like, pre-January 12th at 10pm:

With release day (January 31st) just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to do a cover reveal for Ravenlace, The House of Nightfallen #10.Can I be honest though? I’m not 100% certain I’m in love with it. I’ve always made my own covers and admittedly they’re not always winners. It can be hard to find the right artwork to express your story, and being not-a-professional-graphic-designer I can only do my best. So I’m split on this design and seeing it with the other covers, I’m more convinced it seems out of place. On the other hand, Ravenlace does quite literally take you (the reader) to a place the story has never been to before, literally and figuratively. Ravenlace is the first of the House of Nightfallen episodes to open up the world of The Beyond, and introduces new characters from varied backgrounds and families that will one day have more prominence within this story world.
